Café International in Adliswil was conceived from the outset as a non-profit community café, and that is how it continues to be run today. The work is carried out mainly by a volunteer team, and all Café International events take place in the premises of the Reformed Church Community House in Adliswil. This keeps the fixed operating costs at a minimal level.

Nevertheless, regular expenses arise for coffee, baked goods, decorations, speaker gifts, and the ongoing training of volunteers. These amount to approximately CHF 2,000 per year. They are largely covered by contributions from the City of Adliswil, the Catholic Church Adliswil, and the Reformed Church in the Sihltal. Accounting is handled through the account of the Parish Social Work department of the Catholic Church Adliswil.
